“When we moved to Maryland last year, we were in great need of a dog walker, but my husband and I work weird hours and sometimes we have needs that pop up out of the blue. We came across Kathy and XTLC Pets. Kathy brought our soon to be regular walker Carol to the house and they met our crazy boys. Iggy is a 110 lb. mutt who has had issues in the past with strangers and Calvin is a 60 lb. mutt who is a little skittish, but also a wild man when he gets to know you! Needless to say, you need to have a strong "dog sense" to deal with these two. Carol has been a gem! When she was unable to walk the boys, Roger and Ivey have filled in magnificently. I lost my job last summer, they were so understanding with the change in schedule. We have needed them on the fly on a Saturday and Kathy has always found coverage. The boys love their walks! Did I mention that we moved from Gaithersburg to Germantown a month ago and the move was no issue at all! We could not be happier with the service and genuine care that Carol, Kathy, Roger and Ivey have given our kids for the last year! THANKS A MILLION!”

Several years ago, after losing our former pet sitter to the casualty of gas prices & distance, I took a chance on boarding our 2 labs at a nearby large, expensive kennel. Upon our return, one of our boys was diagnosed by my vet with kennel cough. I began to frantically search for professional pet sitters in Damascus. After conducting several interviews, we met the folks at TLC and never looked back. Kathy is always accessible by email, and tolerates my 3-pages worth of instructions. Our sitter is Linda, and she’s the best. Harley and Travis have a lot of energy and no manners, but Linda never complains. We’ve traveled out of the country and never had any problems with the dogs nor the house. I would cancel a trip before I would trust my dogs to another service.”

“I met Kathy a little over two years ago when she came to my house for her very first interview as a dog walker and as it turns out my little one was her first assignment. Rosie, a little Pekingese, and myself were not sure what to expect. We had tried a couple of other people and things had not worked out well for us. When Kathy walked in the house, there was an instant bond. Rosie took to her immediately and climbed in her lap and Kathy was quite enamored by my little one. Kathy took care of Rosie for me for almost two years until we were forced to move out of state. During that time, I was able to go to work and know that my little one was in good hands. Kathy doesn’t believe in walking your dog and then ditching him/her. She would always spend some time playing with Rosie and then leaving me a nice note as to what the two of them had been up to that day. These were often quite amusing to say the least! On hot summer days, when Rosie did not care to walk far, they would sit outside in the back yard by my pond and cool off under the pine trees. Since my move, I continue to use Kathy when I have to go out of town for a few days. She has welcomed Rosie into her home as well as her heart and I am not sure who enjoys their visits more – Kathy and her family or Rosie.

I only know that Rosie is thrilled to see her second Mom and eager to go with her. That tells me right there that she is well cared for and loved. Kathy’s nickname for my little one is Puddin and Kathy has always described her as a big dog in a little dog’s body. We love Kathy and would highly recommend her to anyone.

XTLC Pet Sitters are fantastic! I can go out of town knowing that my ‘critters’ are in the best of hands. The caretakers that are assigned to my cats are reliable, responsible, trustworthy, and most importantly, they really do care about my pets. They have also gone above and beyond; there have been several occasions when I didn’t have enough supplies, and they provided them. Also, I get a re-cap of every visit they make telling me how each kitty did that day. They don’t just stop by and feed them, they actually take time to keep them company and play with them. What a relief it is to know that I can go away and feel totally at ease knowing that my animals are being completely taken care of.

We feel so fortunate to have help from Extra TLC Pet Services on those days when our work schedules translate into long days home alone for our two dogs. A mid-day break with a walk and a friendly pat from Kathy means they get a break, and makes us feel much more comfortable being gone for the day. We love Extra TLC Pet Sitting! Our little guy, Louie the French Bulldog, is very sweet and dear to us, but he has had a TON of health problems. Since he was a puppy he has had a string of mites, allergies requiring injection treatment, infections, cysts, and most recently a herniated disk in his spinal column which required major surgery and rehab (not to mention being carried up and down our town house stairs for months). As Louie has fearlessly recovered from each of his ailments, Extra TLC Pets have been there every step of the way to help support him. We trust Kathy and her team to truly spend extra TLC on Louie, because he really needs it. We know that Extra TLC cares just as much about Louie’s health as we do. He even loves his occasional overnights with Kathy and her family. And as a dog who has major separation anxiety that is saying a lot about the type of experience he has there. We couldn’t be more pleased with the service and support Extra TLC provides and would highly recommend them to other pet owners.

We have been very pleased with XTLCPETS. We use the services for walks and have on occasion used the weekend house/dog sitting service. Everything is great. Daily, there are notes left by the walkers to let us know how things have gone and if there are any issues about which we need to be aware. Dogs are happy. Owners are happy. The walkers are very good and responsible. We have Linda, Marilyn and Kimberly come throughout the week. The dogs love them. Kathy is a hands-on owner, and she keeps in touch with us on a routine basis. We are 100% comfortable with XTLC. In our opinion, we have the best pet sitting service available.
